You will be creating a report breaking down the symbols, language, values, norms, folkways, mores and taboos of the Alt Right Movement and Black Lives Matter.  You will address the elements of culture in a typed paper, demonstrating your understanding of these concepts with applicable examples.  The first part of this assignment will be to compare and contrast three news stories from The Root and Breitbart News.  The stories must be on the same topic and you will explain how each group covers the same information.  Your final conclusion for this paper will be making a factual supported assertion which group, the Alt Right or Black Lives Matter is more in line with the way you view American values.  Everything submitted to Mr. Gott will be typed and graded using the rubric found below.  Your due date is______________.  Late assignments will lose 10% for each calendar day.
